浮龙属（学名：Plotosaurus）又称游龙属，意为“游泳的蜥蜴”，是沧龙科的一属，生存于白垩纪晚期（马斯特里赫特阶），化石发现于加州费雷斯诺县。浮龙最初在1942年由柏克莱大学的古生物学家Charles Lewis Camp命名为Kolposaurus，意为海湾蜥蜴；在1951年，Camp发现已有一种幻龙类使用这个名称，因此改为现名。
体征
[编辑]在沧龙类中，浮龙具有数个独有特征。牠们的鳍状肢狭窄、尾鳍大、身体呈流线型[1]，游泳速度可能比其他沧龙类快。浮龙的眼睛也相当大[1]。
分类
[编辑]根据亲缘分支分类法研究，浮龙可能是种相当衍化的沧龙类。模式种是P. bennisoni，种名是以发现化石的Allan Bennison为名，他在1937年发现浮龙的化石。P. bennisoni的身长约9米，是加州第一个发现的沧龙类。
第二个种是P. tuckeri，是在1937年由Frank Paiva与William M. Tucker发现。P. tuckeri的体长约13米，大于P. bennisoni约40%。后者对水生环境的适应程度较前者差。
