板踝龙属（学名：Platecarpus）意为“扁平的腕部”，为沧龙科的其中一个属，身长约4.3米。
与其他的沧龙类一样，板踝龙拥有长而窄扁的尾部，控制游泳方向的鳍状肢，与致命而且充满牙齿的颌部，以鱼类、乌贼与菊石类为主食。
板踝龙可能是西部内陆海道最常见的沧龙类；在堪萨斯州的斯莫基希尔河白垩层，P. ictericus则是最常发现的种。板踝龙已发现许多种，但部分种较为衍化，可能没有亲缘关系。板踝龙是种中型沧龙类，身长约4.3米。与海王龙亚科相比，扁掌龙亚科的牙齿较窄，显示牠们以小型、或较软的猎物为食，例如小型鱼类、鱿鱼。扁掌龙亚科可能在白垩纪末期演化成相当特化的物种。
