流星导弹是一种由英国、法国、德国和意大利合资成立的MBDA公司研制，并于2016年服役的主动雷达导引超视距空对空导弹。
流星能提供多重射击能力（针对多个目标进行多次发射），并有能力与高机动的目标交战，例如喷射机和小型目标，如无人机和射程超过100千米（54海里）在高强度电子反制装置环境中的巡航导弹。[9]固体燃料冲压引擎容许导弹以超过4马赫的速度巡航，并为导弹提供推力于中途加速去拦截目标。[10][11] 流星的双向数据链使得引擎能够提供导弹在飞行中途更新目标或在需要时重新定位，资讯包括来自非机载的第三方数据。数据链能够传输导弹资讯，如功能和运动状态、多个目标的资讯以及自动导引弹头探测到目标的通知。[12] 据MBDA声称，流星的动力性能是目前同类空对空导弹的三到六倍。性能的关键是由德国拜仁-化工制造的可节流式导管火箭(冲压引擎)。[13]
流星导弹于2016年4月首度在瑞典空军JAS 39狮鹫战斗机上服役，2016年7月正式具备初始作战能力（IOC）。[14][15][16] 2018年英国皇家空军开始装备流星导弹在台风战斗机上，直到2021年为止，装备流星导弹的空军包括; 德国联邦国防军空军、西班牙空军和意大利空军的台风战斗机，法国空天军和印度空军的疾风战斗机。英国皇家空军亦计划于2024年在F-35闪电II战斗机配备流星导弹。未来将会装备的用户包括;希腊空军、沙特阿拉伯皇家空军、卡达皇家空军、韩国空军、巴西空军与英国皇家海军等。[17][18][19] [20][21]
