梅毒密螺旋体（学名：Treponema pallidum），常称为梅毒螺旋体，是一种螺旋体门下的细菌，具有多个亚种，可引起梅毒。它仅在人类之间传播。[1]它是一种螺旋状的微生物，通常有6-15微米长，0.1–0.2微米宽。[2]梅毒密螺旋体缺乏三羧酸循环或氧化磷酸化，导致其代谢活动最小化。[3]密螺旋体具有细胞质和细胞膜。普通的光学显微镜看不见它，只有使用特别的暗场显微镜才能看到。梅毒螺旋体由三个亚种组成，每一种都能引起不同的疾病。
