拉布雷亚沥青坑（La Brea Tar Pits，或 Rancho La Brea Tar Pits）是位于美国加利福尼亚州洛杉矶汉考克公园附近的一组天然沥青坑。它不仅是加利福尼亚州历史地标，也是美国国家自然地标。
因为其上常常覆盖有树叶、灰尘或水等遮蔽物，动物等很容易失足陷入其中，因而数世纪以来积累了大量的动物骨骸、化石。沥青坑边上有专门用来研究沥青坑和展览坑中发现的动物标本的乔治·C·佩奇博物馆（George C. Page Museum）。其名称实际上语义重复，因为“the La Brea Tar Pits”字面直译是“the the tar tar pits”。 [2]
发现
1913-15年美国科学家开始发掘沥青坑中的化石。1940和50年代由于发现了猛犸遗骨而吸引了大众的关注[3]。这些末次冰期的遗骨保存极为完好，几乎没有被细菌降解[4][5]。

沥青坑旁的乔治·C·佩奇博物馆隶属于洛杉矶县自然历史博物馆，收藏有沥青坑中发现的化石。该博物馆于1975年开始建造，1977年对公众开放。[6]

在拉布雷亚沥青坑发现了大量更新世末次冰期的已灭绝哺乳动物化石，包括猛犸象、恐狼、短面熊、地懒、以及加利福尼亚州州化石斯剑虎。加利福尼亚大学的古生物学家约翰·坎贝尔·梅里厄姆在 20 世纪初期时在拉布雷亚沥青坑进行了许多研究并辨认出了很多物种。
在其中也曾有发现人类 - 名为“拉布雷亚女子”[7]，地质年代大约是距今 10,000 历年（约莫 9,000 碳测年）以前[8]。该名女子死亡时推估约 17-25 岁 [9]，旁边还有一头家犬的遗骸，因此认为可能是因仪式而埋葬于此[10]。
除了大量哺乳动物化石之外，也发现了许多珍贵的化石，包括昆虫、植物、甚至是谷物花粉，这些资讯都能帮助科学家重建出冰河时期洛杉矶盆地的气候状况。
沥青坑中所发现的掠食者数量远超过猎物的数量，原因仍然未知，但其中一项理论认为受困在沥青坑中的大型动物会吸引遥远距离外的掠食者，形成天然的陷阱；另一个理论则认为是因为当地的掠食者，例如恐狼和斯剑虎，可能和现存的狼一样为群体狩猎的动物，因此一群掠食者会和一头大型猎物一同落入沥青坑当中。
