山雀属（学名：Parus）是雀形目山雀科下的一个属，所有种均分布于旧大陆。[2]
物种发现与命名
[编辑]本属由瑞典自然学家卡尔·林奈于1758年出版的《自然系统》第十版建立。[3]其模式种欧亚大山雀是由英国动物学家乔治·罗伯特·格雷后续于1840年所指定的。[1][4]属名Parus在拉丁语里就是山雀的意思。[5]
分类学
[编辑]山雀属有着相对混乱的分类历史，本属原先是作为一个容纳几乎所有山雀科鸟类的大型分类群。[6]并在后续的研究后被划分为多个新属。[6]

而在其他山雀被拆分而出后，本属内部分类仍有所争议，欧亚大山雀曾形成了横跨整个欧亚大陆、并一度多达59个亚种的大型分类群。[7][6]这些亚种围绕着青藏高原及中亚的沙漠分布，在西伯利亚的黑龙江中产生生殖隔离，是当时鸟类中著名的环物种案例之一。[7]
整个欧亚大山雀的族群在后续的研究中是在约200万年前开始分化为3—5个分支。[8]三个主要的分支分别代表的是绿背黄腹的major族群、灰背白腹的cinereus族群、绿背白腹的minor族群。[9]根据后续的不同研究后，各名录便重新分类了欧亚大山雀及“突厥斯坦山雀”（bokharensis 族群），但其分类情况仍未达成一致的共识而有所不同。[1][2]当中绿背山雀的独立性较高，但其下的四个亚种分类仍有所争议。[10]

[编辑]目前依照世界鸟类学家联合会的名录，一共有4个物种，而“突厥斯坦山雀”被该名录归类于欧亚大山雀的亚种：[2]
