引力模型

在各种社会科学中,引力模型(或重力模型,英语:gravity model)常用于预测和描述与艾萨克·牛顿万有引力定律中的引力相互作用相似的某些行为。通常,社会科学模型会包含一些质量和距离的参数,这使它们可以与物理学的引力进行类比。引力模型可以用来估算两个或多个地点之间的货物、服务或人员的流动量。这些流动可能是城市之间的人员流动[1]或国家之间的贸易量。

引力模型未必能准确预测流量,但它可以用来和实际观察值的相比较,从而发现流量异常高或低的地方。
