2021年6月29日，威肯宣布他将携手与Reza Fahim、山姆·雷文森为HBO开创剧情电视剧、担任该剧的共同编剧和执行制作人。[17]同日，Ashley Levinson和Joseph Epstein宣布担任执行制作，后者更担任编剧以及该剧的节目统筹。 Mary Laws亦宣布为编剧，并与威肯的共同经纪人瓦辛·史莱毕、他的创意总监拉·马·泰勒联合担任执行制作。[18]
