漢孝順皇帝諱保，字守，孝安子也，元初二年生。延光四年孝安崩，閻皇后不立帝子保，改以懿為皇帝，自為太后，封保為濟陰王。自是閻氏聯宦者江京專擅國政。懿二百日崩，宦官王康、孫程等十九人誅閻氏黨，復立保為皇帝。時年十一，改元永建。十九人皆侯。

順帝性恭順，國政為閹寺所掌。後諸閹又聯外戚梁氏，擅政廿年，漢政日敗。

建康元年崩，葬憲陵。太子炳嗣。
