太守

太守者，亦作郡守，中國、朝鮮古職也。戰國始有之，掌郡務，時為武官；秦以為文官，天子逕轄之，猶理郡務。

南北朝，州暴增，郡轄愈小，州、郡遂無大異。隋廢郡，以州領縣，太守之官遂廢，以州刺史代之。

宋之知府、知州亦雅曰太守。[一]
