唐明宗，唐代北應州胡人，名邈佶烈，李克用養以為子，賜名嗣源。

唐莊宗被弑，嗣源嗣立。為人純質，寬仁愛民。常夜焚香祝天，愿早生聖人。即位後減罷宮人伶官，廢內藏庫，百姓賴以休息。然屢以非辜誅殺臣下。及病，秦王從榮作亂，伏誅。明宗飲恨而終。廟號明宗，在位八年，葬徽陵。
