ماگنا گریسا (Magna Graecia)
یہ نام رومیوں نے جنوبی اطالیہ کے یونانی بولنے والے ساحلی علاقوں کو دیا تھا۔
موجودہ دور کے اطالوی علاقوں میںکلابریا، اپولیا، بازیلیکاتا، کمپانیااورصقلیہ شامل ہیں؛ یہ علاقے بڑے پیمانے پر یونانی قوم کے آباد کاروں سے آباد تھے۔ [2]
یہ آباد کار جنھوں نے آٹھویں صدیقبل مسیح میں آنا شروع کیا، اپنے ساتھ اپنی یونانی تہذیب لے کر آئے، جس نے اطالیہ پر ایک دیرپا نقوش چھوڑے (جیسے قدیم روم کی ثقافت میں)۔
