Eskam

Eskam (fl. MS 448-449), 5. yüzyılda Pannonia'da, o zamanlar Hun İmparatorluğu altında yaşayan bir Hun'du. Muhtemelen bir şamandı. Kızı, Hun İmparatoru Attila'nın sayısız karısından biriydi.

Otto J. Maenchen-Helfen, adını Türkçede "arkadaş, yoldaş" anlamına gelen kam (anlamı "şaman") kelimelerinden türetmiştir.[1][2] Omeljan Pritsak bunun yerine ilk unsuru Hun dilindeki es/äs "büyük, eski" kelimesinden türetirken, ikinci unsuru da Altay dilindeki kam "büyücü, pagan rahip" kelimesinden türetmiştir.[3]
