The Last in Line er det andre studioalbumet til Dio.
Det ble innspilt på Caribou Ranch i Colorado, USA, og utgitt 13. juli 1984. Det ble sertifisert til Gullplate av RIAA 12. september 1984. Det var det første DIO-albumet som solgte til Platinaplate, og det skjedde 3. februar 1987, to år før debutalbumet Holy Diver klarte det. Det solgte til sølvplate i Storbritannia i januar 1986.
Det er det første Dio-albumet med Claude Schnell på keyboard.
