ဂရိဒဏ္ဍာရီတွင် ဒက်ဒါလပ်စ် (အင်္ဂလိပ်: Daedalus; ဂရိ: Δαίδαλος;[မှတ်စု ၁] လက်တင်: Daedalus; Etruscan: Taitale) သည် အလွန်ကျွမ်းကျင်သော ဗိသုကာဆရာ၊ လက်မှုပညာရှင်၊ ပန်ချီဆရာတစ်ဦးဖြစ်ပြီး ဉာဏ်ပညာ၊ အသိတရားနှင့် စွမ်းအားတို့၏ လက္ခဏာအဖြစ် သတ်မှတ်ခဲ့ကြသည်။[၂][၃] အစ်ကာရပ်စ်၏ ဖခင်ဖြစ်၍ ပါးဒစ်ခ်၏ ဦးလေးတော်စပ်သူလည်းဖြစ်ပြန်ကာ ရှင်းရှင်းလင်းလင်း မသိရသော်လည်း လားပစ်ခ်၏ ဖခင်လည်း ဖြစ်နိုင်သည်။ ခရီးတီးဘုရင် မိုင်းနော့စ် အတွက် လားဘရင့်သ် ခေါ် ဝင်္ကပါ (Labyrinth) တစ်ခုကို တည်ဆောက်ပေးခဲ့သည်။ ပြီးဆီးသည်နောက် မကြာမီပင် မိုင်းနော့စ်က ဒက်ဒါလပ်စ်အား ယင်းဝင်္ကပါထဲ၌ ချုပ်ထားခဲ့သည်။ ထိုစဉ် ဒက်ဒါလပ်စ်ကိုယ်တိုင်ပြုလုပ်ထားသော ဖယောင်းကိုသုံး၍ လွတ်မြောက်ရန်အတွက် အတောင်ပံပြုလုပ်ကြရန် ၎င်းနှင့် သားဖြစ်သူ အစ်ကာရပ်စ်တို့ ကြံစည်လေသည်။ ထို့နောက် လွတ်မြောက်ခဲ့ကြသည်။ သို့ရာတွင် အစ်ကာရပ်စ်က ဖခင်စကားကို နားမထောင်ပဲ နေနှင့် နီးကပ်စွာ ပျံသန်းသောကြောင့် ဖယောင်းများ အရည်ပျော်ပြီး ပြုတ်ကျ၍ သေဆုံးခဲ့သည်။ ဒက်ဒါလပ်စ်အဖို့ ရင်ကျိုးရသော်လည်း အရှုံးပေးမည့်အစား စစ်စစ်လီ (စစ္စလီ) ကျွန်းသို့ ပျံသန်းခဲ့သည်။
