Susumu Tonegawa

Susumu Tonegawa (Tonegawa Susumu, lahir pada 5 September 1939) ialah seorang saintis Jepun yang merupakan penerima tunggal Hadiah Nobel untuk Fisiologi atau Perubatan pada tahun 1987, kerana penemuan mekanisme genetik yang menghasilkan kepelbagaian antibodi.[1] Walaupun beliau memenangi Hadiah Nobel untuk kerjanya dalam imunologi, Tonegawa ialah seorang ahli biologi molekul dengan latihan dan beliau sekali lagi mengubah bidang setelah kemenangan Hadiah Nobelnya; beliaukini mempelajari neurosains, mengkaji asas pembentukan dan pengambilan memori molekul, selular dan neuron.
