Perbankan Islam merujuk kepada pengurusan wang yang berdasarkan syariat-syariat Islam. Kini Perbankan Islam telah diiktiraf di seluruh dunia.

Prinsip Syariah dalam perbankan Islam

Perbankan Islam mempunyai tujuan yang sama dengan perbankan konvensional melainkan operasinya adalah berlandaskan prinsip Syariah, yang dikenali sebagai Fiqh al-Muamalat (peraturan-peraturan Islam di dalam urus niaga). Prinsip dasar perbankan Islam ialah perkongsian untung dan rugi dan larangan ke atas riba (faedah).
