Île de Gorée (French pronunciation: [ildəɡoʁe]; "ഗോരീ ഐലൻഡ്") സെനഗലിൽ, ഡാക്കാർ നഗരത്തിലെ 19 കമ്യൂണുകളിലൊന്നാണ്. ദാക്കാർ പ്രധാന ഹെറിഗേറ്റിൽ നിന്ന് 2 കിലോമീറ്റർ (1.1 nmi, 1.2 മൈൽ) അകലെ 18.2 ഹെക്ടറുള്ള (45 ഏക്കർ) ഈ ദ്വീപ് അറ്റ്ലാന്റിക് അടിമ വ്യാപാരത്തിൽ താൽപര്യമുള്ളവർക്ക് പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്. അടിമക്കച്ചവട ചരിത്രത്തിൽ അതിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ പങ്ക് തർക്കവിഷയമാണ്.
2013-ലെ ജനസംഖ്യാ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച് ജനസംഖ്യ 1,680 ആയിരുന്നു. ഇത് ഒരു ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്ററിൽ 5,802 നിവാസികളുടെ (15,030 / sq mi) സാന്ദ്രത നൽകുന്നു. ഇത് ഡാകാർ നഗരത്തിന്റെ ശരാശരി സാന്ദ്രതയുടെ പകുതി മാത്രമാണ്. ഡാകറിന്റെ 19 കമ്യൂണുകളിൽ ഗോരീ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയതും ഏറ്റവും കുറഞ്ഞ ജനസംഖ്യയുമുള്ളതും ആയ ഒരു ദ്വീപ് ആണ്.
സെനെഗലിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അടിമ വ്യാപാരത്തിനുള്ള മറ്റ് പ്രധാന കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ വടക്കേ അതിർത്തിയിൽ സെന്റ് ലൂയിസ്, സെനഗൽ, അഥവാ തെക്ക് ഗാമ്പിയയിലെ പ്രധാന നദീതീരങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയായിരുന്നു.[1][2] ഇതൊരു യുനെസ്കോ ലോക പൈതൃക സ്ഥലമാണ്.[3]
