സാപ്പിയൻസ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് റോം (ഇറ്റാലിയൻ: Sapienza – Università di Roma) അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സാപ്പിയെൻസ[3]അഥവാ "യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് റോം" എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു) ഇറ്റലിയിലെ റോമിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഗവേഷക സർവകലാശാലയാണ്. മുൻകാലത്ത് "Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" എന്നറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന 1303 ൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായ ഈ സർവ്വകലാശാല, അംഗത്വവിവരമനുസരിച്ച് യൂറോപ്പിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സർവ്വകലാശാലയും വിദൂരപഠന സ്കൂളുകൾകൂടി[4] പരിഗണിച്ചാൽ മൂന്നാമത്തെ വലിയ സർവ്വകലാശാലയും ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കമേറിയ സർവ്വകലാശാലകളിലൊന്നുമാണ്. ഏറ്റവും അന്തസ്സുള്ള ഇറ്റാലിയൻ സർവ്വകലാശാലകളിലൊന്നായി കരുതപ്പെടുന്ന ഇത് ദേശീയ റാങ്കിങ്ങിലും ദക്ഷിണ യൂറോപ്പ്യൻ റാങ്കിങ്ങിലും ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്ത് നിൽക്കുന്ന സർവകലാശാലയാണ്.[5]
