ജെ.കെ. റോളിംഗ് എഴുതിയ ഹാരി പോട്ടർ എന്ന നോവലിലെ ഒരു സാങ്കൽപ്പിക കഥാപാത്രമാണ് ലോർഡ് വോൾഡർമോർട്ട് (Lord Voldemort )[1][2]. വോൾഡർമോർട്ടിന്റെ കഥാപരമ്പരയിലെ യഥാർത്ഥ പേര് 'ടോം റിഡിൽ' എന്നാണ്. വോൾഡർമോർട്ട് ആദ്യമായി പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത് ഈ ഹാരി പോട്ടർ നോവലുകളുടെ ഹാരി പോട്ടർ ആൻ‌ഡ് ദി ഫിലോസഫർ സ്റ്റോൺ എന്ന 1997 ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ നോവലിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തിലാണ്. . ഹാരി പോട്ടർ നോവലുകളുടെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ ഭാഗമായ ഹാരി പോട്ടർ ആൻ‌ഡ് ദി പ്രിസണർ ഓഫ് അസ്കാബാൻ എന്ന ഭാ‍ഗത്തിലൊഴികെ എല്ലാ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും കഥാപാത്രമായോ ഫ്ലാഷ് ബാകായോ വോൾഡർമോർട്ട് പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. ഈ നോവലിന്റെ ചലച്ചിത്ര രൂപങ്ങളിലും വോൾഡർമോർട്ട് പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. സാഹിത്യ ചലച്ചിത്ര കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളിലെ മികച്ച വില്ലനായും വോൾഡർമോർട്ട് വോട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. [തിരുത്തുക]- ടോം മാർവോലോ റിഡിൽ എന്ന കൊച്ചു പയ്യൻ ഹോഗ്വാർട്ടസ് സ്കൂളിൽ മായാജാലം പഠിക്കാൻ ചേരുന്നു. അവിടെ നിന്നും നിഗൂഡ മായാജാലത്തിൽ (black magic) അവൻ ആക്രിഷ്ടനാകുന്നു.പഠനശേഷം ലോകം കീഴാടക്കുക എന്നതായി ആഗ്രഹം. അതിനായി തന്റെ ആത്മാവ് ഏഴു കഷ്ണങ്ങളായി ഭാഗിക്കാൻ വരെ അയാൾ തയ്യാറാകുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം പേടിക്കുന്ന ഒരേ ഒരു വ്യക്തി ഹോഗ്വാർട്ടസ് സ്കൂളിന്റെ പ്രധാന അധ്യാപകനായ ഡംബിൾഡോർ മാത്രമാണ്. ഹാരി പോട്ടറാണ് നാടകീയമായ സംഭവ വികാസങ്ങൾക്കു ശേഷം വോൾഡർമോർട്ടിനെ വധിക്കുന്നത്.
