രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ അജ്മീർ ജില്ലയിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു നഗരമാണ് പുഷ്കർ (ഹിന്ദി: पुष्कर). അജ്മീരിൽ വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറ് 10 കിലോമീറ്റർ (6.2 മൈൽ) വടക്കുകിഴക്ക് ജയ്പൂർ നിന്നും 150 കിലോമീറ്റർ തെക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു.[1] ഹിന്ദുക്കളുടെയും സിഖുകാരുടെയും തീർത്ഥാടന കേന്ദ്രമാണിത്. ഇവിടെ ധാരാളം ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളുണ്ട്. പുഷ്കറിലെ മിക്ക ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളും ഘാട്ടുകളും പതിനെട്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലേതാണെന്നും പിന്നീട് ഈ പ്രദേശം മുസ്ലീങ്ങൾ കീഴടക്കിയപ്പോൾ നിരവധി ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടതായും പറയപ്പെടുന്നു.[1][2] പിന്നീട് തകർന്ന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ പുനർനിർമ്മിച്ചു. പുഷ്കർ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഏറ്റവും പ്രസിദ്ധമായത് പതിനാലാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ നിർമിച്ച ബ്രഹ്മക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ഹിന്ദുക്കൾ പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ശാക്തേയത്തിൽ പുഷ്കർ ഒരു വിശുദ്ധ നഗരമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.[1][3]നഗരത്തിൽ മുട്ട, ഇറച്ചി എന്നിവയുടെ ഉപയോഗം നിരോധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. [4]പുഷ്കർ തടാകത്തിന്റെ തീരത്താണ് പുഷ്കർ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. തീർത്ഥാടകർ കുളിക്കുന്ന നിരവധി ഘട്ടുകൾ ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്. പുഷ്കർ ഗുരുനാനാക്കിന്റെയും ഗുരു ഗോബിന്ദ് സിങ്ങിന്റെയും ഗുരുദ്വാരകൾക്ക് വലിയ പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ട്. ഗുരു ഗോവിന്ദ് സിങ്ങിന്റെ സ്മരണയ്ക്കായി മറാഠകൾ നിർമ്മിച്ച ഗോബിന്ദ് ഘാട്ട് എന്നാണ് സ്നാനഘട്ടത്തിലെ ഒരു ഘടകം അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്.[5]
