തെറാപ്പോഡ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പെട്ട ഒരു ചെറിയ ദിനോസർ ആണ് എപിഡെക്സിപ്റ്റെറിക്സ്. ഒരേ ഒരു ഫോസ്സിൽ മാത്രമേ ഇതുവരെ കിട്ടിയിടുള്ളൂ . ഫോസ്സിൽ കണ്ടു കിട്ടിയിടുള്ളത് ചൈനയിൽ നിന്നുമാണ്. മധ്യ - അന്ത്യ ജുറാസ്സിക് കാലത്ത് ആണ് ഇവ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നത്.[1]
ശരീര ഘടന
[തിരുത്തുക]വളരെ ചെറിയ ദിനോസർ ആയ ഇവയ്ക്ക് പക്ഷികളോട് സാമ്യം ഉണ്ട്. [2] ഇവയുടെ വാലിൽ 4 വലിയ തുവലുക്കൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു , അലങ്കാരത്തിന് അല്ലെക്കിൽ ഇണയെ ആകർഷിക്കാൻ ആയിരിക്കണം ഇവ ഇത് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുക.[3] ഇവയുടെ ദേഹം മുഴുവനും ചെറിയ രോമങ്ങളാൽ മൂടിയിരുന്നു. ഇവയുടെ ഏകദേശ നീളം 25 സെ മീ ആണ് കണക്കകിയിടുള്ളത് , വാൽ അടക്കം 44.5 സെ മീ ആണ് നീളം. ഭാരം കണക്കാകിയിടുള്ളത് 164 ഗ്രാം ആണ് .
