2016 ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन ब्रिक्स देशों का आठवाँ वार्षिक शिखर सम्मेलन है। इसका आयोजन भारत के शहर गोवा में 15 से 16 अक्टूबर 2016 को किया गया।^[1] इसमें पाँचों सदस्य देशों - ब्राज़ील, रूस, भारत, चीन व दक्षिण अफ्रीका- के राष्ट्र प्रमुखों ने भाग लिया। ब्रिक्स की अध्यक्षता फरवरी 2016 से दिसम्बर 2016 तक भारत के पास है।^[2][3][4]

In July 2015, during the 7th ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन, it was announced that भारत will host the 8th ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन in 2016.^[5] In March 2016, गोवा was announced as the venue of the शिखर सम्मेलन.^[6]

The first ब्रिक्स film festival was held at New Delhi from 2 September to 6 September 2016. The five-day film festival screened four films each from the participating nations - ब्राज़ील, रूस, भारत, चीन and दक्षिण अफ्रीका.^[7][8] The environment ministers of ब्रिक्स nations held a meeting on 16th September 2016 in गोवा, they agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and announced the setting up of a joint working group institutionalizing their mutual cooperation on environment related issues.^[9] The agriculture ministers of ब्रिक्स nations held a meeting on 23rd September 2016 in New Delhi.^[10]

The first trade fair of the ब्रिक्स countries, was held at Pragati Maidan exhibition ground, New Delhi from 12 to 14 अक्टूबर.^[11]

Leaders of बिम्सटेक member countries have been invited by भारत, who is a member of both ब्रिक्स and बिम्सटेक, to hold a joint शिखर सम्मेलन with the ब्रिक्स, for latter's regional outreach.^[12] In addition to बिम्सटेक, leaders of Afghanistan and Maldives have also been invited.
