חוף נוקס (באנגלית: Knox Coast) או ארץ נוקס (באנגלית: Knox Land) הוא אזור בארץ וילקס שבאנטארקטיקה[1].
חוף נוקס מוגדר כאזור החוף של אנטארקטיקה, הממוקם בין כף הורדרן ואיי האץ'[1].
היסטוריה

[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]החוף התגלה בפברואר 1840 על ידי משלחת החקר של ארצות הברית[1] (שנערכה בין השנים 1838–1842), בפיקודו של לוטננט צ'ארלס וילקס[1].
מקור השם
[עריכת קוד מקור | עריכה]שמו של האזור ניתן לו על ידי צ'ארלס וילקס[1].
וילקס קרא לאזור על שמו של לוטננט סמיואל ר. נוקס (Samuel R. Knox) מצי ארצות הברית[1], שהיה רב החובל של הספינה פליינג פיש (USS Flying Fish)[1], והיה רב-חובלים (master) של הספינה וינסנס (USS Vincennes), במהלך מסע החקר האנטארקטי של המשלחת[1].
