Refuxiado

Un refuxiado é unha persoa que se atopa fóra do seu país por ter sufrido ou estar ameazado de persecución por mor da súa etnia, relixión, nacionalidade ou opinión política. Tamén se consideran refuxiados aquelas persoas que abandonan os seus lugares de residencia para fuxir da guerra. Tamén son chamados "demandantes de asilo" ata que son recoñecidos polo estado ó que solicitan axuda.[1]

No 2013, Afganistán era a maior fonte de refuxiados do mundo, unha posición que mantivo durante 32 anos, sendo un de cada catro refuxiados do mundo de orixe afgá. O 95% dos refuxiados afgáns viven en Paquistán e Irán. O país de asilo con máis refuxiados no 2014 era Siria, con 2,47 millóns de persoas. Paquistán era o segundo, con 1,6 millóns.[2]

O 20 de xuño celébrase o Día Mundial dos Refuxiados.[3][4]
