Egobarros
Os egobarros,[1] tamén alcumados namarinos[2] (en latín: Egovarri Namarini), eran unha tribo celta de Gallaecia, un pobo galaico lucense. O seu territorio atopábase a carón do río Eo, ao oeste doutros pobos galaicos como os albións e os cibarcos, e estendíase por Foz[3] ata Viveiro.[1] Segundo J. L. Maya, estes tres pobos estaban constituídos por diversos castros vinculados ou confederados entre eles.[4]
Etimoloxía
[editar | editar a fonte]Do seu nome deriva o nome do río Eo, que en tempos romanos se alternaba entre "Ego" e "Egoba" segundo testemuñou Plinio ao falar dos habitantes da beira da ría.[5]
