Tapahtumia
[muokkaa | muokkaa wikitekstiä]- Britannian kuningas Yrjö III antoi julistuksen Proclamation for the Discouragement of Vice, joka tähtäsi epäsiveellisten julkaisujen kieltämiseen.[1]
- Friedrich Schillerin näytelmän Don Karlos, Infant von Spanien kantaesitys oli Hampurissa 29. elokuuta. Tunnetuin versio näytelmästä on Giuseppe Verdin viisinäytöksinen ranskankielinen ooppera Don Carlos vuodelta 1867.
