Richard Burton CBE ( /ˈbɜːrtən/ ; rođen kao Richard Walter Jenkins Jr .; 10. novembar 1925. – 5. august 1984.) bio je velški glumac.[1] Poznat po svom mehkom baritonskom glasu,[2][3] Burton se etablirao kao sjajan šekspirovski glumac 1950-ih, i dao je nezaboravnu predstavu kao Hamlet 1964. godine. Kritičar Kenneth Tynan nazvao ga je "prirodnim nasljednikom Olivijea".
