Arhejska translacija

Izbor startnog kodona u inicijaciji erhejske translacije

Arhejska translacija je proces kojim se informacijska RNK translatira u proteine u Archaea. Ne zna se mnogo o ovoj temi, ali na nivou proteina izgleda da liči na eukariotsku translaciju.

Većina inicijacija, elongacija i faktora terminacije u arhejama imaju homologe u eukariotima.[1] Shine-Dalgarnova sekvenca nalazi se samo u manjini gena za mnoge tipove, s mnogo iRNK bez vodećeg lanca vjerovatno pokrenutih skeniranjem.[2][3][4] Proces ABCE1 recikliranja zasnovanog na ATPazama se također dijeli sa eukariotima.[5]

Budući da su prokarioti bez jedra, arheje vrše transkripciju i translaciju u isto vrijeme kao i bakterije.[6]
