Avicena (Bukhara, Persia, en l'actual Uzbekistán, 7 d'agosto de 980 - Hamadan agosto de 1037), nombre occidentalizato d'Abū ‘Alī al-Husayn ibn ‘Abd Allāh ibn Sīnā (en turco: İbni Sina u en persa: ابوعلى سينا u en arabe: أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله بن سينا), u simplament Ibn Sina, estió un filosofo y medico musulmán Turco[1][2] muit reconoixito, autor de mas de 450 obras, entre as cualas destaca o Canon d'a Medicina. En griego yera dito Abitianós (Ἀβιτζιανός) y en latín Abitianus, traducito a sobén por Avicena. En aragonés medieval se podeba escribir con -nn- cheminata como se vei en os inventarios d'as propiedaz d'os medicos:

Primo un libro clamado Avicenna, con cobiertas vermellas et clateves con las cabecas redondas, scripto en pergamino, que comienca la rubrica: Liber Canonis.

Ye considerato a personalidat mas important d'a medicina arabe y o primer medico d'a Edat Meya. A suya enciclopedia medica, traducita a lo latín con o nombre de Canon, estió lo texto basico ta l'amostranza d'a Medicina en Europa mientres mas de cincocientos anyos.[3]
