威尔弗雷德·费迪南德·马德隆（德語：Wilferd Ferdinand Madelung，1930年12月26日—2023年5月9日[1] ），是位德裔美籍伊斯兰史学者。
生平
[编辑]1930年12月26日，马德隆出生于斯图加特，他的父亲格奥尔格·汉斯·马德隆是纳粹时期的著名德国飞机设计师[2]。二战之后，他随家人移民美国，先就读于乔治城大学，1951年前往埃及，就读开罗大学，1953年获得阿拉伯语文、伊斯兰史学士学位，1958年在汉堡大学获得博士学位，博士论文主题为法蒂玛王朝史与伊斯瑪儀派[2]。1964年，他在芝加哥大學任助理教授，1969年成為教授。1978年，他任牛津大學聖約翰學院研究員、劳德里安阿拉伯语教授，直至1998年退休[2]。之后他加入伊斯瑪儀研究所，任高級研究員，並于1999年成為英國國家學術院成員[3]，2003年，伊斯瑪儀研究所為他出版了紀念論文集[2]，2011、2018年曾參與普林斯顿高等研究院工作[4]。他的研究範圍相當廣泛，包括伊斯蘭教早期歷史、什葉派（十二伊瑪目派）、伊斯瑪儀派、伊巴德派等伊斯蘭教派[5]。他還參與了《伊斯兰百科全书》与《伊朗百科全书》的编撰工作，担任几本学术期刊的编辑[6]。
