Namaste I am an editor at English Wikipedia and a contributor to Commons. In addition, I participate in some relevant discussions here on Meta. At the English Wikipedia, I have been around since 2005, and on Commons since late 2006. My interests there mainly include natural history especially birds, some historical and contemporary biographies and some medical articles. My photo contributions vary from bugs to idlis. In addition to content contribution, I participate in relevant wikipojects and help out with admin work, although I am not an administrator. Other wikis where my interest overshadows my contributions - Tamil and Kannada Wikipedias, Wikispecies, Wikibooks and Strategywiki. I am rarely happier than when spending an entire day programming my computer to perform automatically a task that it would otherwise take me a good ten seconds to do by hand. - Douglas Adams said this about me without ever knowing it.

This flying squirrel is photographed by a friend and released under a suitable license for use in Wikimedia. It is found in some of the thicker forests of South and South-east AsiaThis cobra was photographed outside my home at BR Hills. You can see my kitchen window. Several other photographs of mine are from BR Hills.The Biligirirangan hills range is a North-South range, seen here across the Krishnayyana Katte reservoir at the foothills near the town of Yelandur in Karnataka. The whitish outcrop in the centre jutting out probably gives the name biligiri in Kannada to the ranges.
