After the collapse of the USSR and the independence of the former Soviet republics in Europe (including the countries of the Caucasus), the political map of Europe has expanded, so given the current data, it is logical to provide maximum information (while not contradicting previous maps). I have also improved the quality of the map itself and the visibility of microstates.
Reverted to version as of 12:43, 24 June 2015 (UTC) This is a historic map, part of a series. The counting of republics and monarchies is based on the same area visualised in each. Please do not expand this map with consensus.
