Español: En aguas neozelandesas del Cretácico, el pliosaurio Kronosaurus atrapa desde las profundidades a un joven e inexperto Tuarangisaurus, un elasmosaurio coetáneo del depredador atacante. Kronosaurus, un reptil marino con un tamaño estimado de 10 metros, tenía una dentadura muy particular de dientes cónicos, cuyas dentelladas se han registrado en restos fósiles del también reptil marino Tuarangisaurus, un piscívoro con un tamaño adulto estimado en unos 8 metros.
En la ilustración y en la descripción, se maneja como una de las posibilidades de ataque y caza la misma táctica que utilizan grandes carnívoros acuáticos actuales, como el gran tiburón blanco: a gran velocidad desde abajo, fuera del campo visual de la presa y con una fuerte mordida.
