EQUIPMENT: Nikon D5000 with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm F3.5-5.6G VR lens at 18mm f/3.5, 20 seconds, ISO 200 on fixed tripod.
DESCRIPTION: Canopus was seen about 2 degrees above the horizon. It shines orange due to its low height. It reached the meridian 1 minute before. It was a little bit hard to see Canopus by naked eyes, but it was clearly seen by binoculars. You can see Sirius near the upper edge.
