雙光魚科過去被認為是輻鰭魚綱巨口魚目的其中一科，但目前已不被認定為一個獨立的科，在Van Der Lann等人(2014)[1]中將其列為鑽光魚科下的雙光魚亞科Diplophinae。
分類
[编辑]雙光魚科下分2個屬，如下：
- Diplophos australis Ozawa, Oda & Ida, 1990
- 東方雙光魚 Diplophos orientalis Matsubara, 1940
- 太平洋雙光魚 Diplophos pacificus Günther, 1889
- Diplophos rebainsi Krefft & Parin, 1972
- 細雙光魚 Diplophos taenia Günther, 1873：又稱帶紋雙光魚。
- Diplophos vicinia Koefed & Ho, 2019
- Triplophos elongatus Brauer, 1902
- 三鑽光魚 Triplophos hemingi (McArdle, 1901)，又稱尾燈魚、叁光魚
