近侍即近身侍從、近身隨從，又稱侍從、跟班，滿人稱戈什哈。是指貼身服侍主人的男僕人，相對於女性的侍女。近侍通常會服侍主人穿衣、用餐，主人外出時也會幫主人背負行囊，有時也附有保護主人安全的責任，甚至必須精通武術、防身術等。東亞古代書生、文人的近侍又稱書僮。協助球手撿球、提拿行囊的近侍稱為球僮。
