罗特汉方程

Roothaan方程Hartree-Fock分子轨道模型的扩展,有时也称为Hartree-Fock-Roothaan方程或简称HFR方程。与它的原型HF方程不同,HFR方程中,会将分子轨道展开成一组基函数的线性组合,这组基函数可以是原子轨道,也可以是以原子为中心的数学函数,如Slater函数,Gauss函数等。以这组基函数来求解HF方程,就可以得到Roothaan方程Roothaan方程为HF方法在分子体系中的应用提供了一条道路。

设分子轨道可以展开为,其中为原子轨道或其他基函数,是系数. 将该分子轨道代入HF方程中可得

其中的就是Fock算符。现在将上式两边左乘然后对全空间积分,可以得到常见的HFR方程
