繼室

繼室，或稱填房、後妻、繼配、續絃，是指男子在元配妻子去世後再娶正室，[1]東亞傳統制度中，繼室雖然與元配同為正室，禮制上均等，但宗法上地位仍不及元配。為了區別，皇帝繼室妻子會稱為繼后，國王或王爵繼室妻子稱為繼妃。在某些地區、時代，容許在正室去世或離異後將妾立為繼室，稱為扶正。《左傳》·昭公三年：「齊侯使晏嬰請繼室於晉。」《水滸傳》·第98回：「那仇申頗有家貲，年已四旬，尚無子嗣，又值喪偶，續娶平遙縣宋有烈女兒為繼室。」
