笑林廣記

《笑林廣記》是中國清代笑話集，由遊戲主人，一說程世爵收集而成，多以文言夾雜吳語白話文而作。《笑林廣記》全書共分十二部，一古艷（官職科名等）、二腐流、三術業、四形體、五殊稟（癡呆善忘等）、六閨風、七世諱（幫閒娼優等）、八僧道、九貪吝、十貧窶、十一譏刺、十二謬誤。

《笑林廣記》多取材自明清笑話，形式上以短小精悍為主，並有大量的黃色笑話^[1]。

^ 吳小如，《心影萍蹤·讀〈笑林廣記〉》中說：「對於笑話所以不離猥褻的緣故，……我想除了苦茶庵主人在他《笑話選》的序里所申訴的種種心理學方面的道理之外（文長不錄，讀者諒之），更主要的一個原因，乃是中國民俗受佛教影響太深，加之對名教觀念看得過重，一般群眾對於這種器官和行為始終存有不淨觀念，於是一面編成笑話講了出來給人們聽著解饞，另一面則把這種譬況加諸多數人所最不滿意的對象身上，做為伸冤泄憤的工具。」
