哈雷·戴维森電單車公司（英語：Harley-Davidson Motor Company，又譯哈雷電單車公司，NYSE：HOG，舊代號為HDI[2]）是一間美國的電單車製造商，總部在威斯康辛州密爾瓦基。該公司銷售專為公路巡航設計的重型電單車（排氣量超過750cc）。哈雷電單車有著獨特的設計和出色的性能，並且帶動稱為「美式電單車」（chopper）風格客製化重型電單車的風潮[3][4]。
哈雷電單車吸引了一群忠實的品牌愛好者[5]。哈雷·戴維森商標的授權收入約佔了該公司營業額的5%（2004年時為4,100萬美元）[6] 。在2003年，Buell Motorcycle Company，成為哈雷·戴維森全資持有的子公司[7]，而就在同一年哈雷·戴維森也迎接創立的一百週年。在2008年8月，哈雷·戴維森買下義大利摩托車製造商MV Agusta[8]。哈雷·戴維森還是美國警用摩托車的主要供應商[9]。
歷史

[编辑]在1901年，當時21歲的威廉·哈雷設計了一個小型引擎，排气量為116 cc，慣性輪（或稱飛輪，flywheel）的直徑為102公釐（4吋）。這個引擎是為了使用於一般腳踏車車框所設計的。
接下來的兩年，哈雷和他的好友亞瑟·戴維森（Arthur Davidson）在朋友亨利·繆克的機械商店製作他們的「機動腳踏車」。在亞瑟的哥哥瓦特·戴維森（Walter Davidson）的協助下，於1903年完成了機動腳踏車。但他們發現這輛機動腳踏車在不藉助踏板的情況下，連密爾瓦基最平坦的丘陵都騎不上去。哈雷和戴維森將他們的第一輛機動腳踏車當作一個學習的經驗[10]。
大眾文化
[编辑]電單車帮会的成員主要是以此作為為交通工具，並且以背心上的布章來做身分識別，其形象經常在電影和媒體中被廣泛描繪或模仿，並激發出時裝流行趨勢。
