简介
Zoe Hart励志成为出色的外科医生，然而她的梦想很快就破裂了(预告未说明原因)；这时一个陌生人——医生Harley Wilkes邀请Zoe去阿拉巴马州Bluebell镇的诊所来帮忙；Zoe答应了，到达Bluebell镇后Zoe打电话告诉她母亲，母亲对此感到十分生气挂了电话；然而小镇并没有Zoe想象的那么好，Harley医生已经去世，并把诊所一半留给Zoe，另一半留给不怎么喜欢分享诊所的Brick Breeland；而Breeland医生的女儿Lemon长的是漂亮但是心胸狭窄，唯一支持Zoe的就是镇长——前橄榄球星Lavon Hayes。这里的一切让Zoe感到格格不入，Zoe准备离开小镇，然而母亲突然的拜访并告诉她Harley Wilkes就是她父亲，最终她决定在Bluebell镇奋斗[2]。
