内禁衛是朝鲜王朝早期以皇宫保安为目的的軍隊，1407年10月成立。
初期属于三軍府中軍，朝鲜世祖时独立，朝鲜孝宗时与其他禁軍合并成内三厅。初期以國王心腹充任，朝鲜世宗时以知武艺容貌端丽者充任，待遇高。
