书同文

書同文,指語言書寫的標準化、筆談時用同一種符號體系(如漢字筆談),或者是不同語言共享同樣的文字體系,即用同一套表意文字的字形、字义,来书写各自的母语,如中日韓統一表意文字

在中國歷史,普遍被認為最早的書同文即是秦始皇帝併吞六國後所執行的小篆政策。

於19世紀的東亞,中國及日本的文人因為共享漢字的書寫傳統,認為對方為「同文之國」;而此文除了文字的書寫體系相同外,也包括同一種文明的意思。[1]
