雙魚河

雙魚河，香港北部一河，喺新界，上水古洞同八鄕一帶。南向北流，同梧桐河喺虎地坳匯合，直出深圳河。大清時鄉間分域，以雙魚河而名，叫雙魚約，但個範圍甚至遠，去到大埔同元朗北部，完全唔止河流域。上水同粉嶺一帶以前亦因為呢條河而叫「雙魚市」。

雙魚河中下游，好多都經過人工整理，以防水浸，擴闊同拉直，甚至變成人工河道。

雙魚河英文按唐字譯叫Sheung Yue River，而香港政府亦有取英名，叫River Beas，借自印度北部一條河，但依個名有部份為石上河。
