開採金礦係一盤大生意：從事金礦業嘅企業會運用地質學等領域嘅知識，搜尋有金礦藏嘅地方，搵到之後仲會估計吓笪地方有幾多金礦藏（可行度研究）。做咗採礦作業郁手掘咗啲金出嚟之後，佢哋就要用各種嘅化學技術將啲金由（唔純淨，夾咗好多雜質喺入面嘅）礦石嗰度抽取出嚟，最後先至得出可以攞去用嘅金[1]。
