2013 年兩個人喺度作曲;佢哋一路試彈唔同嘅段落,諗到段啱心水嘅就搵紙筆寫低。

作曲粵拼zok3 kuk1 / 英文composition)係指創造一首原創音樂嘅過程。搞作曲嘅人叫作曲家,歷史上出名嘅作曲家有貝多芬莫札特柴可夫斯基呀噉。喺最基本上,作曲家可以攞自己鍾意嘅樂曲,將啲樂曲入面嘅某啲片段剪出嚟再將剪咗出嚟嗰啲片段砌埋一齊做一首曲;不過喺現實應用上,作曲家都要用樂理上嘅知識嚟創造原創嘅作品,佢哋要能夠明白一首音樂可以有咩特性(音高音階節奏等),同埋係呢啲特性嘅唔同組合會令聽眾有啲乜嘢感受[1][2]

樂曲,有時就咁叫「」,係種音樂作品,主要指用樂器而唔係用聲嘅歌,或者係一首歌樂器聲嗰部份(除非首歌係無伴奏合唱)。

工序

作曲嘅過程可以涉及以下嘅步驟,每個步驟都要用到樂理上嘅知識[1],但係唔識樂理都可以作曲

  • 設定首音樂嘅界限:作曲家好多時第一步就會設定一啲整體性嘅特性,例如音階(睇埋調號)、速度拍號同埋「首音樂預咗係由邊種樂器嚟奏」(睇埋音色)呀噉-呢啲特性都係會影響成首曲或者成段樂章嘅;由前人做嘅樂理研究已經知道唔同音階唔同速度會造成唔同嘅效果,例如
    • C 大調嘅音階俾好多人認為係聽落開心或者最少係正面嘅(前人做嘅研究),所以如果作曲嘅人想作一首哀愁嘅樂曲嘅話,通常就唔會揀用 C 大調,而係比較傾向會揀用啲小調(按前人嘅研究結果做嘅決定)[3]
    • 除咗情緒之外,作曲嘅人仲需要諗埋首曲嘅用途,例如如果有首曲作嚟係想俾人攞嚟跳華爾滋嘅,首曲就理應要用三拍子(作曲家做嘅決定)-因為華爾滋音樂定義上實係三拍子嘅,而呢樣工作經已要求作曲家能夠理解拍號等嘅節奏概念[4]
  • 慢慢噉砌首主旋律:作曲嘅一種常見做法係,作曲嘅人會一路攞住紙同筆、一路攞住自己識彈嘅樂器嚟作首主旋律出嚟;佢哋會嘗試諗串音符(睇樂句),再即場彈串音符出嚟,聽吓串音符令自己有乜嘢感覺(達唔達到自己想要嘅效果),通常第一次都係搵唔到啱心水嘅音符串,跟住佢就要再諗過,一路重複「諗→試彈」噉嘅過程,直至搵到一段啱心水嘅音符串,搵到就即場攞紙筆等嘅架生記低,然後就去諗下一段音符串... 一路直到搞掂為止;當中「諗音符串」嘅過程經已實會要求佢對自己寫嗰隻曲種有返咁上下熟,知隻曲種用開咩樣嘅音符串(可以睇埋樂想嘅概念),而且佢實要識睇樂譜先有可能做到呢樣嘢[1]
  • 和音化:指諗好咗首主旋律之後[註 1],幫首主旋律落伴奏和音終止式等裝飾性嘅嘢;呢個工序都可以相當撈絞,而且會視乎首音樂屬乜嘢曲種而有異-例如假想有個人喺度作普卡(Polka;一種興用雙拍子舞曲,喺愛爾蘭好盛行),佢好多時要落 oom pah 嘅伴奏(下圖)-呢種伴奏跟「一吓高一吓低」(1 2 1 2 1 2...)噉嘅規律,所以啱嗮攞嚟做雙拍子舞曲嘅伴奏,等聽嘅人能夠一路聽住首曲一路留意到拍子嘅行進[5]。和音化嘅工序又係要求作曲嘅人要識樂理,例如要諗加落去嘅伴奏或者和音同主旋律嗰啲音符係咪協和(一齊出現嗰陣唔會難聽)[6]

  • 填詞:上述嗰啲工序係絕大多數音樂-包括器樂(指預咗齋靠樂器奏嘅樂曲)-都會用嘅;如果作緊嗰首音樂係(指作嚟預咗會有人聲嘅音樂),創作人仲要做埋填詞嘅工序;填詞都可以複雜得好交關-創作人做填詞嗰陣,要諗吓啲歌詞表唔表達到首歌要表達嘅嘢(例:歌好多時係用嚟表達故仔),而且仲要諗啲歌詞嘅每個音節同首曲嗰啲音符夾唔夾得埋;填詞呢家嘢專業到音樂創作上有陣時仲會將填詞人當係一個獨立嘅工作崗位噉嚟睇[7]
著名基督教聖詩奇妙救恩》(Amazing Grace)嘅樂譜其中一段;
啲歌詞嘅每個音節都會對應某柞音符。
