Wiki-PR是一家咨询公司，该公司主要为企业和个人在维基百科上建立广告和宣传性质的条目，以此来获取利润。[4]
2013年，英文维基百科对可疑的傀儡账户进行用户查核和调查，导致250多个维基百科账户被封禁，Wiki-PR开始受到媒体的关注[5]。维基媒体基金会在调查后修改了其使用条款，要求任何有偿编辑维基百科的人要公开披露他们与条目主体的关系[6][7]。不过在维基媒体基金会修改使用条款后，该公司仍继续违反使用条款进行未披露的编辑[8]。
