PP细胞是胰岛中的一类可分泌胰多肽（Pancreatic polypeptide、PP）的细胞，只以很少比例存在，并且是胰岛中数量最为稀少的一种细胞。胞体呈多边形，具有很少细胞器和颗粒。PP细胞分泌的胰多肽主要功能是调节胰腺的内分泌及外分泌功能[1][2]。例如抑制碳酸氢盐和胰蛋白酶的分泌，不仅减轻胆囊的收缩，并且加强胆总管的紧张度，同时又抑制着胃窦和小肠的运动。
