Netscape Messenger 9是由网景制作的一个跨平台的独立电邮客户端及新闻组程序，建构于Mozilla Thunderbird。最初于2007年6月11日公开的时候以Netscape Mercury之名宣传，这个邮件程序是设计来搭配网景新公开的浏览器Netscape Navigator 9用的[1]。
最初的名称Netscape Mercury其实是来自于罗马神话中的传递资讯的使者墨丘利[2]，取代了之前在版本4到7之间所用的Netscape Mail and Newsgroups。
新功能与特色
Netscape Messenger包含了Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.9所有的特色，另外集成了美国在线、AIM、Netscape.net的邮件账号。以及拥有一个和Netscape Navigator 9相近的用户界面[4]。
